Blue eyes?...

I decided to try and use a bit of colour on my eyes today and the pictures below show a more green looking eye but i started with a blue eye colour. I hope you like this look and it gives you some inspiration to wear more brighter colours. Enjoy (note: pictures arent great quality.)

So for this look i used an Avon product called big colour, and i used the colour which had the blue azure on one end and frosted ice on the other end. I used the blue colour and placed it onmy crease under my eye and slightly on my eye lid. I then used an eyeshadow brush to help blend the colour and try and blend out the high pigmentation of the colour. It still looked really pigmented and unwearable so i decided to cover it with an eyeshadow to blend to colour even more. I used No7 Wheatsheaf, which is a silvery pinky colour, and i used it all over the blue colour, this turned the blue colour into more of a mint green, this made the colour wearable and almost looked smokey, i decided to create more demension in my eye so i used Max factor earth spirits eyeshadow in smokey gold, this is a brown colour with gold glitter. I put this colour in the corners of my eye and blended to create dimension. To open my eyes more i used white eyeliner on my water line which really opened my eyes up and made them pop. I then used mascara and that this is the look complete. This is a wearable colour and looks almost smokey except in a mint green colour. Hope you like it, unfortunately im going to washington for two weeks so i will talk to you after that and show you what i got. Bye...

Pink Nails?...

I really love getting my nails done and love it when they are painted because when my nails are painted i feel sooo much better. So i wanted to share with you one of my favourite colours to wear on my names PINK... I have at least six different shades of pink but im only going to show you five, because i only want to use one hand. I love pink on my names because its soo girly and bright and that is why i have so many different shades of pink, i think that may mean that im slightly obsessed lol. I am totally drawn to bright gold colours because i also have orange colours and green colours and blue colours.

These are the nail colours i chose to shwo you guys. So ill name you all the brands and colours from the left to the right. Nails Inc Clarges Street and Regents place, Stay perfect No7 Rose Truffle, Collection 2000 Hot Looks Hoola Hoop and finally Jessica in Sophisticated lady.

So this image shows all these colours again in the same order from my pinki finger (Nails Inc) to the thumb (Jessica). Sorry it is hard to see the actual colour in this photo so i will try and explain these colours myself. So, Nails Inc in Clarges Street, this is a really deep pink it is such a gorgeous deep pink, and in different lights it can appear red so its like having two colours for the price of one. The next polish is Nails Inc in Regents Place, when i first looked at this colour i thought it looked a lot like Collection 2000's holla hoop but i was totally wrong this is a pastel powder pink, its so nice and airy and not too over powering. My next colour is by No7 in their Stay Perfect range in the colour Rose Truffle (pictured on middle finger) This is like the Nails Inc poilsh (Clarges Street) however it has a more red undertone which makes it a really deep colour almost a burgundy wine colour, although i prefer the Nails Inc colour because it gives that extra pop of pink which makes it stand out more. The next colour is Collection 2000 Hot Looks in Hoola Hoop, this is a really cheap nail polish and at the i thought it was too much however i have grown to love it. This colour is a real barbie pink bubble gum pink its soo bright and funky. I thought it was a lot like the Nails Inc colour until i actually compared then and i saw that the nailes inc one was a more washed out pink. The last colour is by Jessica in Sophisticated Lady (thumb), this colour is really shimmery which looks to have a purple undertone so its a slightly deeper pink.

Another colour that i forgot to mention that i don't have in my photographs is by No7 also in their Stay Perfect line in the colour Pink Grapefruit ( i love that name ) this is such a beautiful colour it is soo much brighter than the rose truffle colour in their Stay perfect line. This really is your traditional bright pink. It looks like the Nails Inc colour (Clarges Street) except it doesn't have a red undertone like the nails inc colour, its just a really bright pink no undetones, such a pretty colour.

Prestige Wet/Dry Foundation powder

Ive been using this powder for around a week and it comes in three shades, my shade is Warm Ivory, this powder was really inexpensive at £6.99. I really like this product because it is very versatile because it can be used in a range of ways. You can use this product as a setting powder which is how i started using it as, it gave me a little more coverage and really kept my skin matte looking all day because my skin can become very oily during the day. I applied this with a brush just to give me a light coverage and i also used the sponge that it comes with to give myself alot more coverage and to keep my skin matte for longer. I then on a really hot day that i wanted some coverage but didnt want to wear a full face of makeup i decided to try out the wet useage of this foundation. Basically i wet the sponge and then used it with the powder this gave me a good coverage however i had to watch where i put the makeup up because it cloghed slightly around my eyebrows and hairline. I then went over the wet look using this powder with a brush, i really like the out come because it gave me a good coverage however it didn't feel thick. However i had to watch around my nose area to make sure that it didn't clough around my pores. Overall i feel that i would by this product and that it is worth the money. Below i have featured some pictures of the product to let you know what to look out for.

This picture (left) shows the powder (it is damp
looking because i did use the wet application
today) Note: the powder does dry up it does not
stay like this once you have used the wet
application

This picture (right) shows the underside of the

powder showing the sponge (which is dirty

from use) and also that it comes with a

mirror which makes it easy to carry around.

Makeup for 2day...

Today i wanted to show a really simply eye makeup look that i used and it only takes 2 mins. For my self i prefer neutral colours for my eyes because i love to create smokey looks. However today i was wearing a black and purple combination outfit so instead of doing the typical dark smokey eye i decided to play up on the purple side of my outfit. Do not be alarmed i did this tastefully and it is a look that is really easy to wear during the day and i tested it out 2day myself. I have an urban decay pallete called VOL II which has such beautiful neutral colours as well as some funky bright colours, so i really want to start using them but in more wearable ways because i really like the idea of bright colours. So first what i did was basically use the urban decay primer potion all over my lid. This is the best eye primer i have never tried any other eye primers because i was hooked the first time i got it. I was at a family wedding and i wanted my eye makeup to stay the whole day and i used this primer and my smokey eye lasted the whole day and night and didn't need any touching up, i was super impressed with this primer and will never stop using it. So anyway once i had done that i used benefit high beam just under my brow bone because i really love the highlight that it gives me its just a really natural glow and i love using it also. So i wanted to play up on the purple of my outfit but i didnt want to do a big complicated smokey eye that would look way too much in purple, so basically i used the colour ECSTASY in my urban decay palete VOL II. (pictured below.)
This is a more of a matte colour however it has a nice shimmer to it which makes it more wearable for during the day and makes it less harsh. i put this colour all over my lid and because it came out really pigminted which is typical of urban decay eyeshadows i then went over this colour with a blending brush which really lifted up all of the excess pigments of the shadow and really dyed down the colour pigmentation of the colour. I then lined my eyes with Avons Glimmerstick eye liner in blackest black, this just helped add a bit of definition to my eyes, and finally i curled my lashes and used Estee Lauder Magnascopic mascara in black. Below are pictures of the finished look, sorry that they dont show all the detail and colour of the eyeshadows but it really just gives you an idea of the look i was going for. Thanks for reading i hope you liked my simple wearable colourful eye makeup

Review

Firstly i bought some new products which after using for a while i will do a review on these products are MaxFaxtor colour adapt foundation (40 Creamy Ivory) and Prestige wet and dry foundation powder (Warm Ivory). Secondly i would like to point out that this review is based around my own opinion and that doesn't mean that the product won't work for you or that you shouldn't buy it. Now lets get started, the first product i am going to review is Simples purifying cleansing lotion. I dont like this product at all i got this for £3.49 from my local chemist. I really like the idea that their are no harsh chemicals and its good for your skin, however it doesnt remove all my makeup. I prefer cleansers that i massage into my face and then wash off and i tried using this cleanser and it just didn't work, it struggled to take off all my makeup and my eye makeup. Im going to use it up because it was cheap and affordable. I definitaly will not repurchase this product because it doesn't do the job i need it to, my skin looks nice and clean and then when i rub my toner on my face it collects alot of my excess makeup that the cleanser didnt clean up, which didnt happen with my other cleansers. The next product i am reviewing is Gosh velvet Touch foundation primer i got this for half price at around the £4 marker, i find that this primer mattifies my skin, it is of a gel consistancy and i find that it does smooth my skin for easy foundation application, however it doesn't fill in my pores or fine lines like it claims to do, also i dont find that it makes my makeup stay on any longer, so i am going to look for another primer that will help with that. A foundation that i bought was essense stay all day foundation (soft beige) this was around £2.99 i was disappointed with this project i have never been ablt to find a foundation that i absolutly love and i was really hoping that this foundation might be a really cheap product that i would love so i wouldn't have to spend lots on foundation. The foundation did go on well however soft beige is the lightest colour they had and it was way to dark for me and it really looked stupid on my skin i found that it gathered around my eyebrows which made my eyebrows look orange, i wouldn't repurchase this product again, i didnt feel like it lasted any longer that an ordinary foundation would and also i found that it made my skin oily which was also disappointing.
So for my next review im going to review the maxfactor foundation and prestige powder after i have used them for a while, i am also going to review the Queen Helene mint julep masque. So i hope this review was useful and i hope you enjoyed if you want to tell me about products that you love or hate or recomend. Thanks for reading.
